‘Una’ in Latin means Acceptance and it is all about celebration. The opening drums signify victory, and the singing follows. Both rhythm and singing are innate to our natural state of being as musicians. Live looping is used to develop and enhance the layers and depth of the piece.
Partly improvised, partly scored this tune is about joy. A reminder we’re still alive and that’s enough to celebrate.
Working with incredible singer Rebecka Edlund was energising and joful. Setting her against Fred Harper on drums was a creative choice. Those two created a special atmosphere and transported the audience into a different world.
